Object Portraiture

Paintings of overlooked objects that build our world.

A new body of work by Wade Henson, this series presents oil paintings that focus on everyday tools - objects designed for function rather than display. By isolating these familiar items and rendering them with close attention to form, texture, and wear, the work invites viewers to pause and reflect on how these items shape our physical environment.
